A 17th-century canvas - Bento Coelho da Silveira (1617-1708) - that is on the main altar of St. Christopher's Church (Igreja de São Cristóvão), Portugal. It was missing for several decades, and it was found behind the main altar with an unrecoverable significant part. The canvas depicts the “Last Supper of Jesus” and falls into a wider scenario consisting of three images: The Last Supper, the wedding of Cana and the sacrifice of David, portraying the Catholic theology of the Eucharist as sacrifice and banquet.
