The XpeCAM project was one of the 57 selected, of the 1154 European proposals submitted to approval in phase 2 of the SME Instrument program - Horizon 2020.
The multispectral technology is non-invasive and non-destructive technique, and can “read” the hidden information in art work pieces, either paintings or tiles. This solution can not only be applied to Conservation and Restoration field, but also to Agriculture and Industry in the diagnosis process and quality control.

The SME Instrument - Horizon 2020 supports small and medium-sized enterprises with a highly innovative mission and the ability to introduce disruptive changes in the markets. It is divided into two phases: the first one discloses 50k euros per company for the development of a feasibility study. Phase 2, with a funding up to 2.5M euros per project, aims to support activities related to development and demonstration of innovation.
